In the past six weeks I have been dealing with research on ADHD. It is a hard topic to research although very worth it. It is hard because a lot of the same resources have the same info of course as I'm sure most topics do. I have been having a hard time getting my work complete as well because of not finding enough info. I think though that I will be able to handle this situation and just use bits from each source in order to make a full informative paper about my topic and still have the required number of ref's.
The ideas about my topic will help in later research because I will know that not all topics are easy to research on. LoL. You have to just keep looking until you find what you are looking for. In the end it will all come together and fit in perfectly. I wish you all the best of luck on your research and your final draft. See you in class. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

My personal writing process is to just make a list of information and put it all together. Then when that is done I take all that information and put into paragraphs and add information as I go along. I try to put as much interesting detail into the paper as possible so that the reader wants to read more. I then go over what I have put together and see if it needs more spicing up. If it does then I spice it up some more. I do that until I am satisfied with what I have written.
My academic challenges are great at this point. It keeps me on my toes and thinking. I am a sit on the edge of your seat kind of person. I keep going until it is done or I am completely satisfied. I try to make some things a little more challenging just so I stay in the jive of things.
School influences me every time I log into class. Thus, I am aware of what I am doing this for and who I am doing this for. I am going to school to further my career and make myself along with my family happy. School has influenced me in the past but not a great deal because I didn't know what I was missing out on until I started back 8 years after I graduated high school. I plan to do my best and climb that success ladder more and more each day.

Plagiarism: I think we need and have to cite our sources because this is known as stealing if we do not. Its illegal to copy something from someone and not show who the credit is due to and where. Also if we use information in a paper or something for the whole class to read then we need to show where we got it for others to go to that information source and read more about the topic if they want to know more.
If someone used something I had created and didn't give me credit I think I would be pretty upset knowing that all that work I did and someone just up and stole it from me and said that they did it. That is something that would probably take legal action.
I haven't really looked up any real world issues on this yet but I think that if someone takes what isn't theirs than it should be handled just the same way a burglary or theft issue would be handled. Give them what they deserve for what they did.
From what I have heard about Wikipedia I think that they need to learn how to not take things and not give credit for them. If they are going to post something than they need to give credit...if they are not going to give credit then they should be shut down and taken off the web.

Unit III Blog Entry
Brainstorm:
ADHD the topic I chose to write my paper on. I chose to get information on medications for ADHD, How it effects a persons life, how it changes as a person gets older, what alternative methods can be used for ADHD control. If anyone has any insight on any of this please let me know. Thanks.
I love being an online student. It really helps tremendously with work and school hours (for my daughter). Also being able to take night seminars helps a lot also since I work during the day. I hope that I can find a career with the hours available for my daughters schooling when I graduate. I love the flexibility of being able to go into the classroom whenever you are able to and complete the work on your own time. Within the week given of course. :o)
I am pretty psyched about being part of a blog community now. I have never done this and it is quite amazing what can be done with technology nowadays. I am going to try my best to follow to every one's blog that is in my class. So that's where I'm going right now. See everyone in class.
