Unit 10 Blog Entry

Here is some advice I would give to a student that is going to write their first paper:
*Do the research first and get the correct and up to date resources with the best information.
*Be specific about what topic you are going to write about. Don't hesistate on choosing. Chose your topic by something you are most interested in learning about.
*Don't be afraid to ask questions. If you don't ask you won't know.

I feel I have strengthened in the writing more efficiently area. Thus meaning I have learned how to write things in my own words better than I have before. I have learned how to explain something a little better just by paraphrasing and making my own story out of the information I have researched.

I know there are areas always in need of improvement for writing. But I'm not quite sure I can just pinpoint one area. I will always be improving in all areas as far as I am concerned. The more I practice the better I will get.

I wish everyone now and in the future the best of luck at what they have set their goals of achievement to be. Thanks to everyone for all your help throughout the term. Hope to see each and every one of you in future courses.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! See ya then!

Unit 9 Blog

I am not quite done with my paper but I am getting close and getting excited about having it done. I feel good about my paper and about the information provided for my topic.
I don't feel so much nervous and I do accomplished and tired LoL. Tired only because I have been staying up late and getting information for my paper and putting it all together so that I feel that I have accomplished the best paper I have written thus far.
At this point I feel pretty good about writing. At first I wasn't so sure but now that I know all the little things and big things that help writing a paper a bit easier, I am confident in my writing more so today than before.
Some other topics I think would be interesting are: epilepsy, post dramatic stress, schizophrenia. These are just a few. I would love to learn and research on so many topics and illnesses just to learn why they are and how they become what they are.
I wish everyone the best of luck. This has all gone by so fast. I cannot believe I only have until July already. Gotta get busy on some stuff. LoL.
Good luck.

Unit VIII Blog Entry

Really I haven't had many issues in the process of making the paper. Aside of having stupid computer problems thats about the only thing. LoL. Otherwise, I've been doing ok with finding information and sources for my paper.

I feel confident in the comments that are made. It tells me what needs improved and how I can improve it. It helps when you have others who will help tell you these things. This way you can make your paper that much better in the end.

I think I might continue to use my blog even after this course is finished. I find it helpful to post here as well as in class. It gives kind of an insight on other things as well that are discussed.

Good Luck to everyone on their Final Paper!!!

Peer Reviews: I have found them to be very helpful. Although I was unable to post my paper in order for someone to give me a peer review, I think with what I have done as a peer reviewer that it can be helpful in many ways. Just by knowing what others think and their ideas.

I don't remember any AH HA moments during my research but that doesn't mean they weren't there or they won't be in future research. I kind of knew most everything about the topic that I had researched except for some of the problems that it can cause. For example: ADHD can cause Terettes Sydrome. I didn't know that. I did however know that at causes seizures or was linked anyways to them.

The shocking part of the research was that there is so much information about the topic ADHD that its almost unreal and unbelievable. Expecially what the cause and effects are from it.
